Raw and Electric: Sick Puppies Live

A Live Show You Must See
I cannot stress to music fans how pleasing it is to have a live band leave you talking about that live performance days and even years later. Well I had the pleasure to once again see an awesome and energetic live performance the other night. Having seen many big bands live such as Metallica, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park and many more, I find that it is hard to top some of these performances. And although these performances remain the top to my list, Sick Puppies has proven to me that they belong on the top performance list for me.
A Rock Band On the Rise
Its raw, aggressive and most important, crowd pleasing is just a few ways to describe the electric live show of the best rock band to come out of Australia since Silverchair. Sick Puppies live performance tends to get better each time I have seen them live. This past week I got the chance to see them live in Baton Rouge at the Varsity Theater. It is a rather small venue for a larger band to play, which is one of the reasons it feels much more satisfying. Sick Puppies is a band for the fans. They pretty much have been touring for the past couple of years trying to build up their fan base. Well, they have me convinced that they have what it takes to be a true rock band that will please fans everywhere. This three piece rock band is fueled with energy every time those feet hit the stage.
What is best about this past show I saw is that their stage presence was by far the best yet. And they were not afraid to mix it up a little to get the crowd more involved. By playing some fun and different cover tunes to changing the pace of the live show by throwing in a couple of acoustic jams, Sick Puppies has everything you could ask for in a rock show. Plus, if you aren’t getting into to the show, they will make sure that you will become louder. They only complaint I had was that I felt there was not enough energy from the crowd. I think that next time they come around Baton Rouge; they should play at a larger venue. As for anything else, Sick Puppies is a great and pleasing live show to check out. Plus, if you haven’t heard of this band yet, I’d suggest getting their two albums Dressed Up As Life and Tri-Polar, both great albums that anyone searching for new great rock music should add to their collection.

OMG! I was such a Silverchair fan! I still cannot believe they were so young, whatever happened to them anyway? It's nice to know there are still bands that do it for the fans and just for the love of the music...thanks for sharing!!!
Yeh. I never knew what live music was until recently.. so much different from non live.. if you know what I mean!
Dude, when I saw them at the Varsity I was shocked. I love their music, but the live show is just amazing. So much raw energy saturating the venue.
